A course project can be informative too.
“University project: created an app concept.”
“In a seminar team of four, conducted five user interviews for a scheduling app, analyzed recurring problems, and presented a clickable prototype.”
Name team size, methods, and result only when they match your project.
An order that fits where you are
Start with name and contact. After that a short profile can follow if it clearly connects goal and foundation. Education, internships, student jobs, and relevant projects may stand before a short list of unrelated side jobs. What matters is what is most informative for the target role.
A purely decorative skills block helps little. “Teamwork” becomes interesting only when a project shows how you worked in a team.
How a project becomes evidence
Too thin: “University project: created an app concept.” More concrete: “Developed a concept for a scheduling app in a team of four, conducted five interviews with potential users, and presented the results with a clickable prototype.”
The example shows role, approach, and result. Add numbers and methods only when they belong to your project. If you were responsible for research, do not claim complete product development.

Use side jobs and volunteer work the right way
Work outside your field can still contain relevant tasks: customer conversations, shift handoffs, organization, documentation, or training new people. Name the work honestly and choose only the aspects that fit the target role. A side job does not have to be rewritten after the fact into a management role.
What you can leave out
Empty progress bars, soft skills you cannot prove, and long descriptions of early school roles cost space. Leave the resume a little shorter rather than filling it with statements that will not hold in the interview. At the end, check whether the most important project is findable without scrolling or searching.
KEEP WORKING
Give your experience a clear structure.
Start with your current role. Note the title, dates, and two concrete contributions. Only then choose the matching layout.
