One application, three clearly named files.
Roles, qualifications, and contact details.
Only if it is required or useful for this way of applying.
Relevant transcripts and certificates, as far as they are requested.
An example, not a required list: the portal and the job posting determine the actual scope.
What belongs in the application?
The resume is usually the foundation. A cover letter is added when it is required or when it offers a useful space for motivation and fit. Transcripts, certificates, work samples, or references belong only when the posting asks for them or they are actually relevant to the role.
Check the requested way of applying: some portals have their own fields for motivation and qualifications, others want individual PDFs or one combined file. Follow the specific instruction instead of a universal application folder.
A common thread across all files
Do job titles, dates, employers, and education details match among form, resume, and cover letter? The cover letter may deepen one resume point, but it must not claim greater responsibility. A certificate should prove the qualification you are relying on.
A practical test: read only the subject line, short profile, the first two points of the most recent role, and the first cover letter paragraph. Does the same target role become visible?

The checklist for sending
- Open the job posting and the required file types once more.
- Open every file in PDF format from the prepared sending folder.
- Check names, pages, links, signature, and file names.
- After sending, keep the confirmation and the version you actually sent.
For applications by email, keep the accompanying message short. It names the role, a reference number if there is one, and the attached documents; it does not replace a required cover letter.
If a document is missing
Do not invent a degree and do not announce an attachment that does not exist. Check whether a certificate may be sent later, or explain the status briefly if the form offers space for that. When requirements are unclear, a short question to the company can be better than a guess.
KEEP WORKING
Turn the next step into a working draft.
Put your documents together and note what is still missing for the next application. You will find information on support from the app at CVura.
