A good fit when your most recent roles already explain the path to the target role. Check whether each position still has room for your own contribution.
For an early career stage. Relevant work should feel concrete, not like a substitute for missing years of employment.
For a change. The profile explains the direction; dates and actual roles still stay clearly visible.
Many professional roles need a calm hierarchy. When you are starting a career, projects, internships, and education may come further forward. A leadership path benefits from space for the scope of responsibility and decisions. Choose the information structure first, and only then an accent color or typeface.
In your mind, replace the fictional data with your longest role. Do the job title, dates, and the most important contributions stay readable? Are skills concrete enough, or only lined up as decoration? Then check the enlarged view and the matching cover letter. A pretty thumbnail alone says little about how usable a resume is.
Do not copy sample details. Write your actual background, check every date, and open the exported file in PDF format on a second device. The impression in the editor is not automatically the impression of the file you send.
KEEP WORKING
Start with your current role. Note the title, dates, and two concrete contributions. Only then choose the matching layout.
